Extra Dirty Brownies Recipe

I’ve made brookies before with my BakedIn baking subscription box & they went down a treat!

We were having a family BBQ & I was in charge of dessert, so I thought the brookies would be a great choice, but I wanted to level them up. Hence, my Extra Dirty Brownies were born.

I mean what’s not to love?

Gooey cookies, Oreos, cookies & cream spread and fudgey brownies on top. A dream.

So, here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:

COOKIES

125g Unsalted butter
115g Light Brown Sugar
110g White Caster Sugar
1 egg
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
220g Self-Raising Flour
0.5 tsp Salt
200g Chocolate chips

BROWNIES

100g Dark Chocolate
100g Unsalted Butter
2 Eggs
140g Caster Sugar
50g Plain Flour
25g Cocoa Powder
150g Chocolate Chips (I use milk & white)

Oreos
ASDA Cookies & Cream Spread

Method:

COOKIE LAYER

Cream together the butter & sugars until pale & fluffy. Then add the egg & vanilla extract and mix together well. Add the flour & salt. Mix until a soft dough forms. Finally stir in the chocolate chips. Then freeze for 20 minutes or put in the fridge for an hour.

BROWNIE LAYER

Melt together your Dark Chocolate with your Butter until smooth.

Whisk together the eggs and sugar, and then fold through the melted chocolate mix. Add in the flour, and cocoa powder, and fold through again. Mix through the chocolate chips.

ASSEMBLY

Preheat the oven to 180°c/160°c Fan.

Line a square baking tin with greaseproof paper. Take your chilled cookie dough & spread across the bottom of the tin.

Then add in your Oreos, I used about 10. Spread them out. Next, get the cookies & cream spread, and blob it about wherever you want it!

Add the brownie mix on top.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, depending on how gooey you want it. You may want more or less time.

Leave in the tin to cool, then cut up into pieces to share (or eat it yourself, no judgement here).
